I’ve always loved crafting — the knitting, gluing, stitching, sparkling, all of it. But my favorite part has always been the look on my friends’ and family’s faces when I hand them something I made just for them. Nothing beats a homemade gift and a genuine smile.
Unfortunately, my passion for craftin' turned my living room into a Hobby-Lobby-sponsored episode of Hoarders. Ribbons, Glitter, Glue. Everywhere! The first step is admitting there is a problem, and I refuse to admit there's a problem -- Denial can get expensive.
So after years of overspending, I realized I needed a way to fund my fun (without ending up in jail.) It turns out the IRS is kind enough to let me write off my craft supplies and materials -- as long as I have an actual business.
So here it is. My actual business! I'm not trying to get rich, just keep the glue guns hot, the glitter flowing, and the tax man satisfied.
Every purchase helps me break even and send my creations off to homes that will love them almost as much as I do.
Maybe at some point, I'll have an entire team, complete with an international customer service call center. But until that point, it's just me. So drop me a message if you have any requests or comments. Where else can you get a response from the CEO of a company?
I'm pretty sure this button will work. Again, I'm very 72 and not best friends with technology. My son tells me this is charming, but I think that was his way of not helping with the website.
